He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thiel (Jack) and Mary Lucille Thiel (Tracey); his wife Ruth Ann Feeck (Gabel); his stepchildren, Marilyn Feeck, Scott Feeck and Barbara Pick (Feeck); his brothers, Marion Thiel, Robert Thiel, Daniel "Butch" Thiel (Florence) and John "Buck" Thiel; and his stepson-in-law Donald Klein.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Marlene Klein of Remsen; his stepgrandchildren, Steve Klein (Mindy), Tracey Wurth (Chuck), Tim Klein (Mollie), Ryan Feeck (Melissa), Jamie Krienert (Grant), Jesse Pick (Shelly), Rusty Pick (Erica) and Jodi Lennon (Brent); and his sister-in-law Mary Kay Thiel of Remsen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
