It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Nels Christensen of Reinbeck, Iowa, born in Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eckhardt Christensen and Eleanor Christensen (Shepersky); his wife Dorothy F. Schlicht; his son Randall; his in-laws, Emil and Lois Schlicht; his siblings, Helen Christensen, Dorothy Sauer, Elaine Rich, Walt, Tom and Larry Christensen; and his siblings-in-law, Lorene Christensen, Dorothy, Willadean Schlicht, Neil Sauer, Virgil Rich, Kenny and Warren Schlicht.

He is survived by: his children, Jolene Eiklenborg (Dennis) of Allison, Angie Woodard (Brandon) of LaPorte City and Mike Christensen (Wanda) of Dike; his daughter-in-law Karla Wahner (Tom) of Washta; his grandchildren, Chad Eiklenborg, Stacy Heidt (Bruce), Ryan Christensen, Kylee Meyer (Abe), Seth Christensen (Bethany), Jared Christensen (Emily) and Justin Macal (Emily Helgerson); his great grandchildren, Alysha Eiklenborg, Brenna Swart, Nevaeh Prugh, Zach Christensen, Landen Meyer, Adrian and Clarke Christensen; his sisters, Karen Laquatte (Mike) and Fran Whorton (Roger); and his sisters-in-law, Joyce and Barb Christensen.
