He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Hummel and Merle Hummel (Mastain); his grandsons, Jeramy and Joshua; and his siblings, Arlene Glasner, Harold Hummel and Allen Hummel.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Mae Christensen; his children, John Gravell (Linda), Rita Rawls (Nate), Rick Hummel (Ronda), Kelly Hummel (Michelle) and Brenda Hummel-Foreman (Dan); his grandchildren, John, Michael (Vanessa), Chase, Christopher (Natalie), Jennifer (Timothy), Kelley, Anthony, Andrea and Zachary; his great grandchildren, Everly Mae, McKenzie, Bennett, Maddison, Alexis, Jaxon, Henry, Kaleb, Jerran, Jace, Jakob, Jeramy and Mylee; his siblings, Jerry Hummel (Beverly) and Karen Dinger; and his pet Lucy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the AMVETS Post 49, Dike American Legion and the Cedar Valley Honor Flight.
