He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Rolston and Susie Rolston; his stepmother Mary F Rolston; and his sisters, Freda Pannetier and Elaine Rohrer.

He is survived by: his son Richard Alton Rolston (Kristen); his wife Mary O. Rolston; his children, Stephen Rolston, Laura Rolston and James Rolston (Kris); his granddaughter Jennifer Hernandez; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Rolston, Christabel Rolston, Diego Saldana, Cataleya Hernandez and Mateo Hernandez.
