We are sad to announce that on April 26, 2020, at the age of 89, Betty Jane (Wright) Smithson (Redfield, Iowa), born in Linden, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Jane (Wright) Smithson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry and Gladys Wright (Moncelle); her husband Ted; and her siblings, Wesley, Dorothy Abraham and Elsie Rehmus.
She is survived by: her former spouse Thomas Teddy Smithson; her children, Sheryl Ulrich of Sumas, Washington, Tom Smithson (Judy) of Panora, Iowa, Janis Johnson (Larry) of Van Buren, Missouri, Bob Smithson (Linda) of Redfield and Debbie Anderson (Calvin) of Redfield, Iowa; and her brother Harry "Neil" Wright of Chesapeake. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held 10:00 A. M. Friday, May 1, 2020 at West Linn Cemetery in Rural Redfield.
