He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Briggs and Corliss Briggs (Graham); his wife Diane L. Blackburn; his granddaughter Maddison Jo Belt; his brother Terry Briggs; and his parents-in-law, Richard and Mary Blackburn.
He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Briggs (Christopher Mattingly) of Red Oak, IA; his grandchildren, Denver Belt and Regan Mattingly; his siblings, Tim Briggs of Colorado Springs, CO, Tracy Adams (Mark) of Stanton, IA and Kris Becker (Larry) of Round Rock, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Terry Blackburn (Karen) of Lincoln, NE, Rick Blackburn of Red Oak, IA and Cheryl Marsden (Scott) of Papillion, NE. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home (509 N 6th St, Red Oak, IA 51566). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (1900 N 8th St, Red Oak, IA 51566).
