She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Perdue and Dorothy Perdue (Collins); her husband Jesse E. Mercer; and her brother Marlin Perdue (Marilyn). She is survived by: her children, Jeff Mercer (Deb) and Michele Tye (Jeff); and her grandchildren, Chris VanDyke (Mary), Danielle Steinhoff (Eric), Sarah Marrs (Joel) and Aaron Mercer (Jessica). She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren: nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
