He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul F. Peterson and Edna Myrtle Peterson (Sederburg); and his siblings, Paul Allan Peterson, LeRoy Peterson, Carrol Peterson, Dorothy Lantz Honett and Helen Marie Pendgraft.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Peterson of Red Oak, IA; and his children, Jean Hathhorn (Todd) of Omaha, NE, Julie Pierce (Jeremy) of Red Oak, IA, Paul Peterson (Sandy) of Elk River, MN and Chaz Peterson of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home (509 N 6th St, Red Oak, IA 51566). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mamre Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army.
