It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lee Byers of Red Oak, Iowa, born in Henderson, Iowa, who passed away on March 21, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar "Swede" and Mildred Byers (Starr); and his siblings, Trucking, Donna Taylor (Bob) and Randy "Butch" Byers.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Byers (Bette), Jeff Byers (Diane) and Kim Lang (Greg); his grandchildren, Barry Byers (Rhonda), Wade Byers (Melissa), Trey Byers, Jake Byers (Michelle), Allison Baas (Nathan), Madison Lang and Joe Lang; his great grandchildren, Kendra Hallam (Brandon), Ashlee Byers (Cameron Walker), Ainsley Byers, Dawson Culver, Hannah Byers, Joshua Byers, Emma Baas and Grace Baas; his great great grandchildren, Kenzlee, Cameron, Bradlee and Caydence Hallam; his sister Joanna Winchester (Jim); his sister-in-law Judy Byers; and his friend Beth Nissen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
