He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Brown and Blanche Brown (Long); his brother Denny; and his son Michael. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Brown of Red Oak, IA; his son Scott Brown of Red Oak, IA; his cousin Anamary Gustin (Brown) of Red Oak, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Schofield (Fred) of Glendale, AZ and Tim Mundwiler (Tana) of Milbank, SD. He is also survived by two nephews; four nieces; three great-nephews; and two great-nieces.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Elks Kitchen Fund, First United Methodist Church, Hawthorne United Methodist Church, or the Red Oak Heritage Foundation.
