With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Owen Jones of Red Oak, Iowa, who passed away on June 21, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Jones and Louise Jones (Hein); his wife Marlys Brown; his granddaughter Cheryl Jones; and his siblings, Gordon, Bud, Pat, Juanita and Connie.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Jones of Stanton, IA and Joseph Jones of Red Oak, IA; his grandchildren, Lindsey Carfrae (Ben) of Urbandale, IA, Jenny Gettler of Stanton, IA and Chris Jones of Stanton, IA; his great grandchildren, Jameson, Andrew Carfrae, Evan, Addelyn, Owen Gettler, Alexa, Hunter and Brooklyn Gilleland; and his great great grandchild Mason Spring. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Montgomery County Court of Honor and Red Oak Optimist Club.
