We bid farewell to Ruth Rose Schutte of Readlyn, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 19, 2025 at the age of 100. Ruth Rose touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Burkhardt and Ida Burkhardt (Boedecker); her husband Henry Schutte; and her brother Ralph Burkhardt. She is survived by: her children, Dale Schutte (Wendy) of Harpers Ferry, Beverly Gill of Waterloo, Joyce Caley of Paris, Illinois and Joe Schutte (Lin) of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Aaron Schutte (Kristin) of Jesup, Christopher Cooley (Jeanne) of Minneapolis, Tim A. Pfalzgraf of Waterloo, Jay Pfalzgraf (Khristin) of Grimes, Amy Ring (Christopher) of Kensett and Patrick Schutte (Kelly); her great grandchildren, Preston Schutte-Brown, Olivia Ring, Henry Ring of Kensett, Kallie Schutte, Karlie Schutte of Jesup, Simon Cooley, Elise Cooley of Minneapolis, Alexis Pfalzgraf, Ella Pfalzgraf and Noah Pfalzgraf of Grimes; and her sister Vera Hoins of Shell Rock.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home (110 S State St, Denver, IA 50622). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (4820 Oster Pkwy, Cedar Falls, IA 50613).
She volunteered with the Girl Scouts and the American Cancer Society.
