Ruth Elnore Venzke Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Elnore Venzke (Readlyn, Iowa), born in Eldon, Iowa, who passed away on December 18, 2019, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Harold and Marietta; her husband Carl; her sisters, Rachel McGarry Miller (Johnston) and Etta Case (Johnston); and her son Craig.

She is survived by: her son Richard of Waterloo; and her granddaughter Katie Flores (Venzke) of Dubuque. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends to remember Ruth by donating to St. Paul's Church, Community Lutheran School in Readlyn, or by being kind to animals and donating to an animal rescue operation/humane society of their choosing.
