It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Piehl of Readlyn, Iowa, who passed away on June 22, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gladys Piehl to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hagenow and Ella Hagenow (Boevers); her husband Erwin Piehl; her siblings, Baby Hagenow, Donna Hagenow and Florence Wille; her daughter-in-law Berdeva Piehl; and her granddaughter Olivia Klein.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Klocke (Arnold) of Chanhassen, Minnesota, Loren Piehl (Donna) of Sumner, Iowa, Ardith Vandercook (James) of Amarillo, Texas, Myron Piehl (Joyce) of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Lora Klein of West Union, Iowa; and her brother Robert Hagenow (Mary) of Waterloo, Iowa.. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tripoli Nursing and Rehab or to Parkview Assisted Living.
