He is survived by: his son William J.; his spouses, Kathryn L. Burger and Carolyn Sturtz; his children, Debbie Thome (Jim), Dan Knipp, Tom Knipp of Salem, Patti Schmit (Neil), Mike Knipp (Margie), Angie Junk (Jim) of Waverly, Steve Knipp (Lisa) of Fairbank and Chad Knipp (Melissa) of New Hartford; his stepdaughters, Danielle Hilleshiem of Cedar Falls, Michele Kessler (Mark) of Cedar Falls and Theresa Borcherding (Bob) of Cedar Falls; his siblings, Jim Knipp (Nancy), Lou Collins (Erv Wehling) and Mary Lou Roethler (Rich); and also Clara M. Schmitz Knipp. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
August 8, 1935 - February 22, 2018 Robert Joseph Knipp, 82, of Raymond, died Thursday, Feb. 22 at his home of Alzheimer's.
