She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Albert Meier and Eva Margaret Meier (Etringer); her husband Jim; her children, Gerry Schmitz and Josephine Snyder (Randall); her grandson Dan Breuer; her siblings, Joseph Meier, Ann Reiter and Mary Steimel; and her daughter-in-law Mary Frances Schmitz.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Schmitz (Claudia) of Burnsville, MN, Tim Schmitz (Ellen) of Minneapolis, MN, Nick Schmitz (Stephanie) of Raymond, IA, Vince Schmitz (Kathie) of Grasston, MN, Chris Schmitz (Sherry) of Jesup, IA, Geriann Raway (Chris) of St. Paul, MN, Carolyn Breuer (Joe) of West Union, IA, Lucy Breuer (Jim) of Waterloo, IA and Eva Moritz (Paul) of Ankeny, IA; and her siblings, Fred Meier (Stella) of Gilbertville, IA, Bernard Meier of Hampton, VA, Kenneth Meier (Moe) of Hollywood, FL, Rita Smith of Sumner, IA, Eva Schmitz of Jesup, IA and Phyllis Reiter of Jesup, IA. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
