Vanatta of Randolph, Iowa, born in Hamburg, Iowa, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gary had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gary may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Vanatta and Kathleen Vanatta (Taylor); his brother Randall "Randy" Vanatta; and his great grandchild Gavin Edward Belden. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Lynn Day (Don) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Katherine Louise Belden (Eddie) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Shanda Kaye Sullivan (Paul) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and his nephew Randall Christopher Vanatta (Erin) of Randolph, Iowa. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The military honors was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Randolph Cemetery.
