She was predeceased by: her husband Curtis; her parents, Carl Martin and Esther Nelson; her brother Sterling Nelson; and her brother-in-law Larry Teigland.
She is survived by: her children, DeAnn Frisk (Steven) of Randall, Donna Pribyl (David) of Story City and Gene Grimsley (Jill) of Roland; her grandchildren, Melissa Stolt (Scott) of Kamrar, Mike Frisk (Melanie) of Ames, Brian Pribyl (Selena) of Van Wert, Casey Pribyl of Randall, Matt Grimsley (Malissa) of Roland, Rachel Frederick (Spencer) of Nevada and Sarah Crouse (Brian) of Ankeny; her great grandchildren, Curtis Stolt (Amber) of Jewell, Hailey Davis (Josh) of Ames, Emily, Allison, Mya Frisk of Ames, Carlie Pribyl of Randall, Maddox, Maverick, Macey Grimsley of Roland, Tessa, Clayton and Rose Frederick of Nevada; her great great grandchild Ellie Stolt of Jewell; and her sister-in-law Jan Nelson of Rogers.
She also has many nieces, nephews and friends who mourn her passing.Ruth requested (in lieu of flowers) memorials be directed to Hubbard Care Center, Elim Lutheran Church, or Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp in her memory.
