She was predeceased by: her siblings, Orvin Akre, Thor Akre, Gladys Jurney, Ralph Akre, John Akre, Louis Akre, Carrie Teig, Lawrence Akre and Myrtle Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Curtis Owenson; her daughters, Peggy Uthe (Dan), Kristi Molln (Rick) and Annette Owenson; her grandchildren, Sara Uthe (Eric Holm), Russ Uthe (Erika), Kelly Smith (Matt), Kyla Heddlesten (Anthony) and Steven Havens (Jennifer); and her stepgrandsons, Britt Havens and Brook Havens (Debra).
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Elim Lutheran Church, Randall, Iowa or the William R. Bliss Cancer Center, Ames, Iowa.
