With solemn reverence, we commemorate Kathy Sue Fick of Quimby, Iowa, whose life came to an end on September 24, 2024 at the age of 70, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Dave" Powell and Maurine Powell (Boysen); her husband Tom Fick; and her parents-in-law, Harvey and Marlene Fick.
She is survived by: her children, Amber, Tim Nelson of Quimby, Andy Fick and Rob Sietsema of Sioux Falls; her granddaughter EmaLeigh Nelson of Washta, Iowa; her sisters, Karen (Greg Ebersole), Kandice (Bob Herron) and Kelley (Mike Ellis); and her siblings-in-law, Ron Fick (Phyllis) of Paton, Iowa and Marcia Smith (John) of Aurelia, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Boothby Funeral Home (207 E Main St, Cherokee, IA 51012). A prayer will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church (204 W 1st Ave, Quimby, IA 51049).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to them for a future project in Kathy's honor.
