She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Springer and Gertrude Springer (Retzer); her husband Dwayne Hempel; her daughter Pamela Hempel; her brothers, Edwin and Elton Springer; and her brother-in-law Homer Childs.
She is survived by: her sons, Paul Hempel of Quimby, Iowa and Alex Hempel (Sadie Brown) of Urbandale, Iowa; and her siblings, Larry Springer (Bev) of Fellsmere and Joyce Childs of Snohomish, Washington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
