He is survived by: his wife Nellie Berns of Quasqueton, IA; his sons, John Berns (Amy) of Shueyville, IA and Kenny Berns (Shay) of Quasqueton, IA; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Clay, Tucker and Beau; and his siblings, Toni Kann of Marquette, IA, John Berns (Janet) of Dubuque, IA and Allen Berns (Rosie) of Winthrop, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
