He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Jeffery and Daisy Jeffery (Pickett); and his former spouses, Rosalea Drysch and Rosalea Jeffery. He is survived by: his wife Patti Jeffery (Sauer); his son Richard Jeffery III (Debbie); his granddaughters, Heather Jubber (Tim) and Kelly Jeffery; his stepgrandchildren, Aly Ciesielski (Nick), Gabe Robertson, Will Townsend and Alexandria Townsend; and his stepgreat-grandson Wyatt Ciesielski. He is also survived by three stepchildren.
