He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon L. Franck and Ardis Franck (Kress); his great grandchild Tanner Franck; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Cannon, Spencer Burrell, Kenneth Gericke, John Cannon and George Johnston.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Franck of Quasqueton, IA; his sons, Tracy Franck (Kelly) of Winthrop, IA and Terry Franck (Carla); his grandchildren, Austen Franck (Kayla) of Independence, IA, Lindsey Fuessley (Barry), Evan (Lindsey Cole), Tyler Franck (Danielle), Colleen Franck and Trevor Franck (Kinzlee); his siblings, Patsy Burrell of Center Point, IA, Richard "Dick" Franck (Alice) of Quasqueton, IA, Gary Franck (Cathy) and Dennis Franck (Patricia); and his sisters-in-law, Yvonna Gericke of Quasqueton, IA and JoAnn Johnston. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
