He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Powers and Mae M. Powers (Church); his wife Zelda Powers; his son Steven Powers; and his siblings, Mae Rhene Powers, Frankie Findley, John Powers and George Powers.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa O'Connor (Todd) of Atkins, IA and Carrie Amthauer (Bjay) of Quasqueton, IA; his grandchildren, Taylor Nickell (Drew) and Tara O'Connor; his great grandchildren, Kinnick, Karlee and Kahne Nickell; and his siblings-in-law, Marv Findley of Cedar Rapids, IA, Cheryl Scott of Cedar Rapids, IA, Janet Powers of Cedar Rapids, IA and Cathy Powers of Cedar Rapids, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The military honors was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Veterans Memorial (101 Water St N, Quasqueton, IA 52326).
