He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Verna Hoefer of Manchester, IA; his wife Janet; his children, Adam Hoefer (Kristi) and Abby Soukup (Scott); his grandson Lukas Soukup of Quasqueton, IA; his siblings, Larry Hoefer (Sherry) of Edgewood, IA, Dave Hoefer (Michelle), Ron Hoefer (Sue), Shirley Knipper (Ken) of Petersburg, IA, Joyce Whitney (Collin) and Carol Harper (Jeff); his brother-in-law Charlie Lange (Mugzy) of Quasqueton, IA; his pets, Myrtle and Mildred; his father Gerald Hoefer; and his brothers-in-law, Michael Lange and Curt Lange. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
