She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Downey and Wilda Hoffman Downey; and her sister Carolyn Baughman. She is survived by: her children, Dixie Shelton (Stuart) of Stockton, Curtis Kline (Mona) of Ankeny, Todd Kline (Shari) of Goodman, Brenda Mincks (Jack) of Mitchellville and Rhonda Davis (Tim) of Slater, Iowa; her grandchildren, Travis Shelton (Sarah), Chad Shelton (Kendra), Trent Shelton (Chika Kusakawa), Leah Preisser (Justin), Tara Carter (Rob), Jessica Ragusin (Kyle), Brandon Kline (Mandy), Meghan Steele (Sean), Shannon Kline (Kaisha), Ryan Mincks (Natalie), Adam Mincks, Ashley Hoppenworth (Barret) and Tanner Davis (Lindsey Gray); and her brother Charles "Butch" Downey (Betty) of Wayzata, Minnesota.. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the Heartland Humane Society in Ottumwa, Iowa or the Pulaski Fire Department.
