He is survived by: his mother LaVerne Bruess of Cresco; his siblings, Charles Bruess (Angie) of Trivoli, IL, Karen Bruess (Mary Chval) of Cedar Rapids, Linda Lechtenberg (Rich) of New Hampton and Jean Bruess (Dean Rue) of Madison, WI; his sister-in-law Jill Bruess of Cedar Falls; and his nieces and nephews, Matthew Lechtenberg, Sam Lechtenberg, Megan Nesvik (Jeff), Chas Bruess (Sami), Jalynn Roberts (Tanner), Chris Bruess and John Bruess. He is also survived by four great-nieces and nephews.
