She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Drewelow and Gladys Drewelow (Zahasky); her sons, Andy and Andrew Wayne Ward of December; and her sister-in-law Faythe Drewelow.
She is survived by: her former husband John Schlindwein; her children, Tom Ward (Lisa) of Protivin, IA and Julie Ward of Wilcox, AZ; her grandchildren, Mark Schmitz, Samuel Schmitz, Alexandria Becerra and Sally Daily; her stepgrandchildren, Eric McDanel and Michelle McDanel; and her siblings, Harvey Drewelow of New Hampton, IA and Jean Woodring of Fredericksburg, IA. She is also survived by four step-great-grandchildren.
She was an exceptional crocheter, making stuffed animals and Barbie Doll clothes that she donated to various toy drives during the holidays.
