He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hicks and Lucille Hicks; his wife Jan; and his brother Dick. He is survived by: his sons, Beryl, Jan, David Beryl, Timothy Mark and Jeffrey Scott; his sister Shirley (Otho Kinsley); his siblings-in-law, Dave, Kay Hicks, Jeff and Angie Hicks; his grandchildren, Turner (Staci Hicks), Kiley Hicks (Alan Fligg), Keagan (Hannah Hicks), Wyatt (Gillian Hicks), Phillip (Kristin Hicks), Alex (Elizabeth Hicks) and Maggie (Jake Luck); and his great grandchildren, Preston, Elsie, Mattie, Hazel Hicks, Benjamin, Matthew, Nathaniel Hicks, Ingrid, Mathilda Hicks, Elliot Hicks, Winifred, Edith and Hollis Cole.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Primghar Church of Christ .
