He was predeceased by: his parents, Huibert DeRidder and Marie DeRidder (DeKruif); his great grandchild Maelynn Kay DeRidder; his brother-in-law Pete Flick; and his sibling Marlin.
He is survived by: his spouse Kathleen "Kay" Flick; his children, Bertus (Betty DeRidder Jr.), Iowa Jerry (Gloria DeRidder) and Iowa Karen (Larry Stewart); and his sister-in-law Verlene Flick of Hartley.
