It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary E. Taplin (Preston, Iowa), who passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Elden and Marie Margaret Taplin (Petersen); and his sisters, Arlene Dierksen (Don), Lola Machande (Carl) and Patsy Harbron (Jim).
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Drury; his children, Shelly Paxton (Scott), Gary Taplin (Kimmy), Thomas Taplin (Dolly), Chasity Beelner (Nick), Lindsey Huff and Devon Rose (Allison); his grandchildren, Ruth (Harry), Nicholas (Sally), Destiney (Eric), Tony (Krista), Brody, Evan, Melvin, Lilly, Audrea, Logan, Griffin, Claire and Amelia; and his brother Dennis Taplin (Diane). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
