He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlyn Ray and Jennie Ray (Persell); and his son-in-law Brad Burkgren. He is survived by: his daughters, Rita (Larry), Cheryl (Gregory), Laurie (Mike), Connie (Terry) and Kathy (Brad); his grandchildren, Aynsley (Jon), Derek (Colie), Shelley, Jenny, Marshall, Dallas (Sarah), Mathew, Benjamin (Nikki), Samuel (Katie), Joseph (Melody), Katrina (Ben), Alyssa (Andrew) and Mikaela; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Winifred, Lincoln, Melanie, Jordan, Mason, Evelyn, Bryson, Tatum, Dax, Kirby, Jameson, Owen, McKenna, Charlie, Henry, Alexa and Cole; and his sister Maxine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Fillmore County 4-H program, the Preston Food Shelf, or a veterans' organization of your choice.
