He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Cummings and Elva Cummings (Steiner); his siblings, Marvin (Genevieve), Glenn (Jean), Wilma (Johnny) and Don; his former wife Shirley Armstrong; his son Mark; his former wife Nancy Weaver; and his daughter-in-law Joy.

He is survived by: his children, John, Anna and Joseph; his wife Sharon Gilmer; his brother Duane (Pat); his children, Michael, Sarah (Matthew) and Katrina (Tyler); and his grandchildren, Morgan, Drew (Miriam), Casady, Ethan and Robin. He is also survived by cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
