It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Earl Van Zee (Prairie City, Iowa), who passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Zee and Nellie Van Zee (Meppelink); his son Terry; his children-in-law, Lois Van Zee (Venhuizen) and Robert Wagaman; his siblings, George Van Zee, Robert (Shirley Van Zee) and Joan Erlandson; his siblings-in-law, Robert Vanderhart (Ellen Vanderhart) and Lola Vanderhart; and his parents-in-law, Ed and Jeanette Vanderhart.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Eleanor Vanderhart; his children, Sandra Wagaman, Kent Van Zee (Diane), Alan Van Zee and Joel Van Zee (Sarah); his grandchildren, Bradley Wagaman (Stacie), Sheree Van Der (Kris), Joshua Van Zee (Annie), Sarah Jensen (Pat), Jennifer Morse, Megan McLaughlin (Tim), David Van Zee, Lucas Van Zee, Ahren Van Zee, Jolie Mach, Felicia Mach, Andrea Pedersen, Jarad Pedersen (Jocelyn) and Brother Donald Van Zee (Dorothy); his sister Ruth Davenport; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Van Zee, Robert Erlandson and Howard Vanderhart. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
