He is survived by: his wife Kathrine A Schmidt of Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church; his children, Colleen Walvatne (Richard) of Waverly, Kara Winger (Darrell) of Bakersfield and Kirby Snitker (Linda) of Dubuque, Iowa; his grandchildren, Madison Durscher (Austin) of Shell Rock, Alexander Winger of Henderson, Neveda, Zachary Winger of Henderson, Paige Snitker of New York, Rachel Walvatne (Kyler Murdock) of Denver and Reed Snitker of Grand Rapids, Michigan; his great grandchildren, Theodore Durscher of Shell Rock, Iowa and Calvin Durscher of Shell Rock, Iowa; his sisters, Loretta Backhaus of Sherwood, Arkansas and Cheryl Thornton of Sherwood, Arkansas; his sister-in-law Renee Bernath (John) of Long Beach, California; and his nieces and nephews, Jackie Peterson, Tina Klahn, Lori Backhaus, Brenda Kerr, Andrea Eliassen and Ryan Bernath.
Cleone was a volunteer for RSVP and a man with a quiet nature and a very soft heart for all.
