He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard A. Meyer and Florence Meyer (Schroeder); his brothers, Roger Meyer and Bruce Meyer; and his sister-in-law Laura Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Goettelman of Postville, Iowa; his children, Stacey Meyer of San Carlos and Bradley Meyer (Rachel) of Central City, Iowa; his grandchildren, Zane and Delaney Meyer; his sisters, Donna Ashbacher (Albert) of Decorah and Michelle Hurlbut (Matt) of Elgin, Iowa; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Meyer of Waukee, Iowa and Sharon Buhr (Curt) of Boynton Beach, Florida.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be a Private Graveside Service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Postville Volunteer Fire Department or the Postville Ambulance Services.
