He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Heide and Lena Heide (Loots); his wife Vera Hudson; his son Mark; his sisters, Helen Everson and Laura Andrews; and his brothers-in-law, Winston Everson, Robert Andrews and Don Peterson.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Heide (Linda) of Rockwell City and Gregg Heide of Pomeroy; his grandchildren, Curtis Heide (Katharine) of Johnston and Sarah Bailey (Brett) of Ankeny; his great grandchild Heide Bailey; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Peterson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
