It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary R. De Vore of Pomeroy, Iowa, born in Plano, Iowa, who passed away on March 1, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Vore and Anna Lou De Vore (Printy); and his brother Gale De Vore. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Schmidt of Pomeroy; his children, Vicki Woodard (Tim) of Columbia, MO, Beth Cumpton (Randy) of Des Moines and Dan De Vore (Pam) of Pomeroy; his grandchildren, Matthew Woodard, Lauren, Shelby Cumpton, Kelsey and Madalynn De Vore; his siblings, Jean Smith (Gary) of Coos Bay, OR, Mary Michael (Andy) of Chillicothe, MO, Rona Lubben (Tim) of Hampton and Dean De Vore (Ellen) of Manson; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon De Vore of Topeka, KS and Darlene Schmidt of Rock Port, MO..
