It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don H. Heide of Pomeroy, Iowa, who passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Heide and Magdalene Heide; his uncle Clarence Heide; his former wife Jeanne Heide; and his daughter Tricia Holeman (Janet Beddow).
He is survived by: his wife Carol Heide of Pomeroy; his daughters, Valerie Bales (Dustin) of Pomeroy, Amy Fischer of Humboldt, Lisa Schenck of Sarasota, FL and Barbara McClelland (Vincent) of Keane Valley, NY; his grandchildren, Macey Friedrichsen (Will), Morgan Bales (Lamar), Samuel Fischer, Jackson Fischer, Ava Fischer, Taylor Wolanski (Peter), Megan McClelland, Janey McClelland and Zander McClelland; and his great grandchildren, Zeke, Niko, Theo, Warner and Milena.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church (406 S East St, Pomeroy, IA 50575). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at the Union Cemetery (1949 Marengo Ave, Pomeroy, IA 50575).
