He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ashbrook and Sarah Ashbrook (Gidle); his wife Ila Jean; and his siblings, Darlene Golding, Mary Jane Alpers and Lloyd Ashbrook.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Ashbrook of Gilbert, AZ, Bonnie Williams (Roger) of Mallard, Colleen Barrett of Pocahontas, Lisa Clark of Queen Creek, AZ and Sharon Ferguson (Ken) of Ridgefield, WA; and his sister Doris Johnson of Lake City. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home - Pomeroy (210 S Main St, Pomeroy, IA 50575). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (406 S East St, Pomeroy, IA 50575). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at the Union Cemetery (1949 Marengo Ave, Pomeroy, IA 50575).
