She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Johnson and Inez Johnson (Dexter); her husband Bob (Bob); and her brothers, Clayton Jr. and Larry.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Geick of Overland Park, KS, Janan Geick of Coralville, IA and Lynn Geick (Ben) of Iowa City, IA.; her grandchildren, Taylor Tallman (Ben) of Raymore, MO, Dylan Geick (Amber) of Overland Park, KS, Logan Geick (Makenzie) of Leavenworth, KS, Jaisa Miller (Evan Cohen) of Tampa, FL, Jadyn Miller of Coralville, IA, Jenna Geick (Eric Scott) of Iowa City, IA and Griffin Geick of Corpus Christi, TX.; and her great grandchildren, Oliver and Sutton Tallman.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home - Pomeroy (210 S Main St, Pomeroy, IA 50575). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Savior United Methodist Church - Manson (1130 11th St, Manson, IA 50563). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at the Union Cemetery (1949 Marengo Ave, Pomeroy, IA 50575).
In honor of Cheryl's career teaching special education, memorials can be made in her name to the Iowa.
