In the vast expanse of eternity, Duane Obed shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Duane Obed farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Obed Johnson and Carolyn Johnson (Rimathe); his son Jeffery Liebmann; his brother Eldon Johnson; and his brother-in-law Jay Kalsem.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie Bilek of Polk City; his daughter Marcia Liebmann of Dixon, IL; and his siblings, Dennis Johnson (Norma) of Harlan, IA and Beverly Kalsem of Boone, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (1701 W Jester Park Dr, Polk City, IA 50226). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:10 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
