He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Bartosh and June Bartosh (Slutter); his sister Mary Lou Clendenen; his daughter-in-law Melissa Botine; and his brothers-in-law, Cliff Smith, Earl Schoberg and Phil Clendenen.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Botine (Truelson) of Pocahontas; his children, Alan Botine (Pam) of Boerne, TX, Greg Botine of Pocahontas and Jill Anderson (Gregg) of Littleton, CO; his grandchildren, Bruce Botine (Brianna), Abby Botine (Nathan), McKenzie Botine, Chris Anderson (Ebbie) and Megan Anderson; and his sister Marcella Schoberg of Pocahontas. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church (11 SW 2nd St, Pocahontas, IA 50574). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (201 NE 6th St, Pocahontas, IA 50574).
