It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace Muriel Tiernan of Pocahontas, Iowa, born in Rolfe, Iowa, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Block and Aletha Block (Turley); her husband Loren; her siblings, Louise King, Jim, Harold and Carl Block; her grandson Travis Francis; and her great grandchildren, Anne Muriel Thompson and Hattie Jo Jenkins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joann Francis (Brian) of Pocahontas, June Koster (Matt) of Fonda, Mary Gonnerman (Craig Osbloom) of Fort Dodge and Teresa Bollard (Jerry) of Spirit Lake; and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Block, Janet Block, Aubrey King, Joe Tiernan and Margaret Tiernan. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren.
