It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eileen M. Davis of Pocahontas, Iowa, born in Laurens, Iowa, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wilbur and Grace Wilbur (McKiernan); her husband Jim; her daughters, Sandra Peter and Jackie Bunda; her siblings, Audrey Dahnke (George), Patricia Cejka (Robert) and Alva Wilbur (Vivian); and her son-in-law Bob Bunda.
She is survived by: her children, Sid Davis (Rose) of Havelock and Becky Stephens (Larry) of Urbandale; her grandchildren, Scott Davis (Missy), Brian Davis (Jill), Christi Hines (Ron) and Rob Bunda (Nicki); and her son-in-law Glenn Peter of Quincy, IL. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Powers Funeral Home - Laurens (263 Ralston St, Laurens, IA 50554). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Washington Cemetery.
