He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald G. Beneke and Mardell Beneke; his parents-in-law, Donald Halverson and Alice Halverson; and his brothers-in-law, Merlin and Donald Halverson.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Halverson Falor; his children, Allison Larson (Steve) of Chaska, Minnesota, Mike Falor (Annette) of Waukee, Iowa, Cameron Jones (Walt) of Cave Springs, Arkansas and Matt Beneke (Christy) of Madison, Wisconsin; and his sisters, Ann (Laurens) and Mary. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (201 W Main St, Laurens, IA 50554). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, the Pocahontas Public Library, or the Pocahontas Community Healthcare Foundation.
