She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Freel and Lois Freel (Dubes); her husband Edward LaVerne De Haai; and her brother Glenn Arden Freel. She is survived by: her children, Douglas De Haai of Indianola and Lisa Smith (Timothy) of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Katie Proctor (Steven) of Waukee and Ken Smith of Cambridge; and her great grandchild Geneva. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the Pleasantville Senior Center, or Suncrest Hospice.
