With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Lea Hampton of Pleasantville, Iowa, who passed away on May 3, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Gifford and Maxine Gifford (Shivvers); and her sister Bonnie. She is survived by: her husband Mike Hampton of Pleasantville, Iowa; her siblings, Darrell Gifford of Redlands, California and Charlene Clark of Aliso Viejo, California; and her children, Michelle Belzer (Bill) of Grimes, Iowa and Richard Shinn (Mindy) of Rockwell City, Iowa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Lea's name can be made to Fairview Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
