She was predeceased by: her father James Sankey; her son James Shepard, Jr.; and her grandparents, Vonda and Merl Mueller. She is survived by: her husband Earl Alertsen; her children, Markos Sankey (Kennedy), Nicole Alertsen, Natosha Sankey (Shane), Madison Alertsen (Derek Tillotson) and Natalie Alertsen; her grandchildren, Josiah and Kora Baxter; her mother Emma Shepard (David); her siblings, Billy Sankey (Jen Wilson) and Shannon (Derrick); and her stepmother Carmella Formaro.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bertrand Funeral Homes (Mason Funeral Home) (902 N State St, Pleasantville, IA 50225). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasantville EMS or to the Marion County Humane Society.
