She is survived by: her husband Earl Alertsen; her children, Markos Sankey (Kennedy), Nicole Alertsen, Natosha Sankey (Shane), Madison Alertsen (Derek Tillotson) and Natalie Alertsen; her grandchildren, Josiah and Kora Baxter; her mother Emma Shepard (David); her siblings, Billy Sankey (Jen Wilson) and Shannon (Derrick); and her stepmother Carmella Formaro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasantville EMS or to the Marion County Humane Society.
